Other that what was promised, in the future is would like there to be missions similar to what we saw in mass effect. These include every type of missions we already have in eve i.e. combat and currier.
Example of a mission:
Dock at Dodixi and meet a black-market trader in a bar. He gives you a package that you must take to your ship and deliver it to his contact. While in your ship you will have to fight npcÆs like a normal combat mission but when you dock up at the contacts station you may have to hack a computer terminal to get the package past concord customs office...
I think we should have the ability to engage in armed or unarmed combat in stations but the same rules apply (war dec required to legally attack). Only people at war will be able to carry weapons and weapons are only active in certain areas...
I probably just dreaming here as this kind of functionality would most likely require a separate served dedicated to incarnate.

so, Dust online?
when i dock up and leave my ship, should i run to my xbox and get ready to fight for my life?
which brings up another disturbing point, can other players dock up, find your hangar, and hijack your ships? can nullInull dock up and find someone else's hangar and hijack their stuff? how about the items on their hangar floor?
No, i think they should sweep Dust under the carpet and they should invest more into incarna. If Dust is still going to be a console only FPS then i think it will fail and potentially have an extremely negative effect on eve.
You private hangar would be... Private.

Originally by: Desert Ice78 Some real good idea's so far. However, just a cavet for the notion of combat within the stations. CCP have confirmed that when you are walking around in a station, you are no longer in your POD and so by defination are no longer a POD pilot. So when you are killed, you are dead. For real this time....
Shame that...
Can you provide a link to that please because that sounds really stupid and would probably cause 85% of the community to quit the game. |

I can understand why you couldnÆt want people running around in stations killing each other but the ôif youÆre not in a pod your clone wonÆt be activated when you dieö excuse doesnÆt cut it.
The technology that downloads your consciousness and transmits it to your new close could be compacted into something that fits on your body...
They should just stick to how things are in eve now. If you are in a low/null sec system or at war, watch your back. Either way, there should be some form of combat even if itÆs only allowed in designated areas.
You should be able to bring your ship crew on the stations with you also.

My dominix sure has a lot of windows for a ship without a crew...
Anyway, id doesn't matter what the back story says, they can always create new fiction to support any changes... What matters is what we want to see in incarna...
Do people want to see some form of combat and interesting missions or do they want this to be the new Second Life, were we do nothing but sit around talking **** and inviting people to our quarters to cyber?
